Dr Brian Montgomery
Dr Brian Montgomery is an independent healthcare consultant. He was formerly a general practitioner in West Lothian (1986-2000) before taking up a series of clinical management roles (Medical Director West Lothian Healthcare Trust 1999-2005, Associate Medical Director NHS Lothian 2005-2009, Board Medical Director NHS Fife 2009-2014, Interim Chief Executive NHS Fife 2013-2015).
In 2011/12 he chaired the review of non-surgical oncology services in South East Scotland and between 2009 and 2014 he chaired the SE Scotland Regional Cardiac Planning Group and was a member of the SCAN Regional Cancer Advisory Group. Since 2015 he has had a number of roles including director of the Shared Services Programme delivering business cases for single system models for Radiology, Laboratories and Aseptic Pharmacy for NHS Scotland. Dr Andrew Fraser
Dr Andrew Fraser is Director of Public Health Science with NHS Health Scotland. He was Director of Public Health in NHS Highland from 1994-97, Deputy Chief Medical Officer in the Health Department of the Scottish Office, then Scottish Executive from 1997-2003 where he was responsible for advice on Public Health Policy. From 2003-2012, he worked in the Scottish Prison Service as Director of Health and Care, where he also co-directed the WHO co-ordinating centre to improve prisoners health.
He was a member of several prison service independent reviews in Northern Ireland. His recent focus has been on public health reform, ways to tackle health inequalities, improve and protect health in Scotland.Download biography 177KB PDF
